Considering average aging Foum members maybe I am not alone in my quest.
Currently touring Japan with the missis and one thing is for sure if you are going to visit this fantastic country you will need a good pair of waking shoes or a lot of money for taxis. Public transport is best in the world in my mind but walking is a general must. Being of the somewhat aging persuasion and overweight coupled with my height and back issues…. the list can go on…..
I am looking for a walking stick / seat or chair combo. I don’t want a folding chair I have to lug around but something easy, light weight and inconspicuous so I can stop and sit when I need to. Anyone ideas?
Being 105kg in weight a flimsy Chinese version will not work so something sturdy
Thanks

Shooting stick?
I found that shooting sticks really take very little load off the ankles. I also suspect @grantmac’s heavy duty option may be an issue at airport security

Watching with interest

Might be but I’ll have to see…

I see you fly for Cathay? long haul?
One of my favourite carriers aside SQ. Fly them regularly from AMS to Asia when I can. I just love the first class lounge in HKG.
But more than often I have to fly the flag and take Arsey’s lot…..
At least they give me a gold card…🤣🤣
