My wife bought me a pair of Wally Flaps for my 1150GS for Christmas, so I thought I'd share the fitting as I'd seen a few other people asking...

Bought from Nippy Norman's for about £50.

First off, I think they've updated the design as if you search for Wally Flaps on this site they look different.

Second thing, the bolts they supply are too long, so you'll need some spare washers or spacers, but here goes..

Step 1 - remove 'this' bolt...

Step 2 - hold the black spacer in place - you'll see the hole is off-centre and the spacer itself fits snuggly against the curved edge of the plastic stick coil cover...

Step 3 - thread some extra washers or a spacer (about 5mm should do it) onto the bolt, then pass it through the supplied washer, the Wally Flap's bracket, through the black spacer and screw it into the hole...

You can see the extra small washers I've had to add.

Then lastly pop the supplied black bolt caps into the allen bolts...

And you're done!

I can confirm they keep your trousers clean and your boots dry!

Think it was more that they supplied bolts that were too long
