Wanted Wanted 125cc off road bike

My son is looking for a road legal 125cc off road bike of some sort.

He won't be doing long road journeys on it so even a long distance trial style bike could work.

My preference would be for a well looked after older bike such as an early DR125.

Something he can learn to tinker with as well.

Happy to travel to collect in our van.

Budget flexible at the moment.

Hi Mike, I have this TS125R which might be for sale. It's a good one, completely original and just needs some TLC to be really nice. 18000 genuine miles, I got it from a guy in my village who had it for ages before me. I'm not convinced I need to sell it yet but I am under pressure about the size of the fleet, my intention was to give it a light restoration and take it to the pub on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

I've rebuilt the wheels with new spokes, bearings, rear disc + both sets of pads. I've done load of other things along the way.

Depends if you have the inclination and budget. Food for thought....

It had an 'L' plate on it when I got it. I've not actually ridden it yet so couldn't tell you if its restricted in any way. I think they we something like 12hp restricted and 22hp running full fat. If you want something to ride tomorrow then this isn't it but if you want something cool, a bit rare and in need of a loving new home then maybe. If I was to actuality try and get it sorted it wouldn't take a lot to get it MOT'd

sorry chaps, I've just noticed your replies, to be honest I'd lost interest in the politics of this forum for a while. I still have the TS, just rebuilt and painted the forks over the bank holiday. It runs fine, autolube works, just painted the exhaust too.
