Wanted: Clutch cable R1100GS near Hull

Hi there,

Last night, in some sort of a slow motion, my clutch cable broke on my way from Beverley to Hull. After pushing it back to the nearest pub (270kg's is an awful lot at 10.30pm..) luckily my husband was able to come and pick me up.

But well, now I need a clutch cable..

I already called several motorcycle part businesses and at the moment I'm waiting for a call from Astle in Grimsby with hopefully the 'correct' answer: "yes, we have one!", but while I'm waiting:

Is anyone able to give me a few more options to find a cable asap? It's for a 1997 R1100GS!

Different part number (although it may fit). The R1100 GS clutch cable, Part no 32732324961 is listed as common to:

R1100GS
R1100RT
R1100R
R850R
R850GS
R850RT

I just got off the phone with Barrie Robson Motorcycles in York and he's got one!

So my husband will pick it up within an hour or two.

Not really close by, but, well, at least I can repair the bike in time since I cannot borrow his bike from Monday until Thursday since he's going back to the Netherlands for work!

Ive only just seen this post...locally I would have rang spares unlimited on hessle rd and asked for kev the mechanic, he rides a 1150 gs and is just great at storing parts, but at least you have got sorted...
