wanted fuel pump for 1996 R1100GS

posted previously in wanted section and got a fuel pump for a 1150 which has a block connector for the fuel pump as opposed to screw wire connectors. Any one around here got a fuel pump for a R1100gs or otherwise suggest a bodge/solution. I understand the fuel pump is largely universal across the 1100 range?

A mate of mine needed a new fuel pump for his 1996 R1100RT and found one on ebay. it was one that is used on Audi cars (bosch I think) he saved a fair bit of cash doing this rather than Motorworks/BMW/Motobins.

Can you cut off the block connection and use it in the screw-in connections? Any photos?

Con Are you up this way anytime soon and I can de-solder re-solder the connections for you on the pump plate

thanks for your suggestions

i will post some photos if i can. the defective fuel pump/tank unit is in spain and the spare 1150 non oem pump is with me in galway. i don't think i can remove the block connector from the 1150 pump but i can't see why i couldn't fit wires into the connector via a connector "plug". bought another pump kit off ebay arriving tuesday. Jay i may head northeast then bearing pump(s).
