Can anyone tell me where I can find a frame like the ones used on the new HP2, that will take a 1150GS running gear?

I have my doubts about 3 piece frame, where the "weak spot of the chain" is the cetnral connecting engine's and gearbox's crankcase.

I'd go for 1 piece stronger HPN frame. HPN documents all their frames and know the boxer's mounting architecture throughoutly, they have the longest rallye experiences and boxer tuning company has so far since the end of 1970s till today. No doubt why they prefer 1 piece frame.

Though, going for HPN built R1150RR frame, you probably need a new gas tank. Probably. This you must ask from HPN if they can modify it to take the stock bits. It'll sure be pricy, but it's the best you can get that can resist all the abuse with the huge weight it has.

HPN builds the same frames to HP2's btw. Seriously bullet proof proven stuff.

Thinkin !

I ave been thinkin bout buildin meyself a special , and followed up
Mr Duursma in Appledorn , only to find that the headstalk he supplies
does not have an ID tag / chassis No.
So that would present all sorts Problems Here .
And at 1900Euro it aint cheap.

HP Style frame for GS1150

Im looking to build a GS1150 supermoto, so if i can get close to a HP in set up the better. I have a 2004 bike with a damaged fround end. so a new frame with normal forks should work fine. Thanks for your speedy responces.

Ahhhhhhhhhh
A Damaged front end.
So then give Mr Duursma a call .

Hop on to ADVRider and search out what Gaspipe has been doing. He started with a Motozilla kit but got let down in a few areas.

Now the Adventures work shop I think have taken it on and its going well.

I cant give you any URL to short cut the search process becasue of where I am, but go the Blood Sweat and Gears and its the first thread I think.

You may have to hop around a bit but they have built one bike up already a few weeks ago and I beleive it will be availiable as a kit.

I hope that they will supply as much or as little as you want, one day ....

Try speaking with Pat of Mobitec - Tel: 07779 528715 or e-mail: [email protected]

Pat was developing a new front subframe to take conventional forks - Paul Blezard used it in the Cambrian Rally two years ago. It was just a bolt on to replace the standard front end with KTM forks.
