Wanted... Lowered gear and brake levers - R1100GS

Following on after fitting lower footpegs, I'm now in need of lowered foot controls.

Surely they're on splines, remove rotate replace

Not sure about the GS but I recently lowered the pegs on my 1150R using the kit supplied by Motorworks.

There was an extension piece to add to the gearchange adjustment linkage and a modified pushrod link to the rear brake mastercyclinder. Both easy to fit and adjust.
If the linkages are similar to the GS then I would suggest giving Motorworks a ring and ask them if the supplier for the lowering kit could supply just the linkages.

It's not as straight forward as that. There's also an adjustment linkage that needs extending.

Wunderlich also do kits for most BMW models, had one for my old 1100s.

I fitted first Migsel and then SW Motech lowered pegs on my 1100GS, both of which put the pegs lower and slightly further forward. I fitted an adjustable Touratech gear lever so that there was enough space to get my boot under the peg, and then I made up a longer connecting rod so that I could lower the lever. I found that the o/e rod end fouled on the silencer slightly so I substituted a rose joint.

For the brake I just had a section inserted into the lever to bring it forward, there is enough adjustment in the connecting rod to put it in the correct position.
