However, as a man who tends to vote with his lolly I will not spend a penny with Touratech ( unless I have zero choice ) until they stop ripping people in the UK off ( Touratech ripp off

I had no idea touratech were over charging UK customers! I bought my panniers with the bike but I definately wont choose TT again if there is an alternative. I was going to buy TT's lamp grill but after reading your post I looked around and found a better one by Wunderlich. Even folds down for cleaning/road use.

And I voted for Vern's WorldBeaters.

'Hand crafted in the shed' by a master fabricator. And a really top bloke as well.

They are all hand welded (none of that rivet stuff), unbelievably strong, waterproof, anodised, stainless steel fittings and can be made to your spec - wide or narrow, tall lids or short lids.

If you want SERIOUSLY well made kit, try and actually look at a set, rather than just Vern's pictures.

Unfortunately, caveman is no longer in the business, and EIBC is no more - I think he went back into employment rather than continuing the self-employed route. I think that the Daerr boxes from Munich are the same Alpos ones though.
