Cannot figure out where to put this question sorry!

1. Where can I get details on all the technical gibberish BMW mention in describing their clothing materials... eg Cordura® 500 so that I can decide which material is best etc? Basically they keep mentioning all these features but don;t exactly explain how they react in accident etc... is there some sort of material test so I can choose best material to suit... I seem to be getting information that says these are good for winter and these are good for summer but nothing about falling off bike whether they protect and how much etc...?

2. Where do you buy all this optional armour eg summer 2 unisex trousers hip ones...?

thanks and sorry if this is in wrong place!

That's okay mate, I'm new to the Moderating job in here so I quite like the practice when it comes to moving stuff. :D

I'll shift it to here...........

That was painless wasn't it? ;)

I think the grades go in order of ascending abrasion resistance Cordura 500/ Cordura 700 / Dynatec /Armacor. You can't necessarily use one grade of cordura all over the jacket because as the toughness/thickness increases, then the flexibility and ease of movement decrease.
All the BMW stuff is of good quality material ,where the summer and casual stuff is generally lighter and cooler than the winter stuff. The BMW Airflow Mesh suits are much tougher and heavier and slightly less flexible than the cheaper gear from Frank Thomas, Gericke et al.
The extra armour is supplied by BMW dealers.
