Hello, next month the wife and I are off for a extended tour stopping at a appartment at Lake Garda for a week, by the time we arrive my rear tyre may be on its last legs, its got a good few miles on it at the mo but I dont think it will go the 3 weeks we have planned. Question do any of you good folk know were I can get a replacment whilst we out there, looking for a michelin Anakee 150/70 R17....Not forced to be around the lake area but near by would be good, tel number or e-mail would be great if poss or anyone local using this site would be better, I'll buy you a beer.

Cheers Ullygully.

Why not buy the tyre here mail order and have it posted to the apartment before you set off, then all you need to do is get it fitted when you are there.

Just an idea, not saying its a good one:confused:

Save the hassle and put a new one on before you go and keep the one you take off for when you get back.

The best option. Faffing about overseas trying to find a tyre place when you are supposed to be on holiday is not much fun. You end up with a load of hassle and probably find the tyre is a lot dearer over there to boot.

Thanks guys...yeah I chewed with the idea of buying another wheel of e-bay and changing the tyre before we go, then running the old one off doing the National Rally in July....but thats a lot of faffing about, and the extra cost of a wheel, so I think I'll just put on a new one before we go, job done :thumb2
Thanks anyhow.

No idea why you need a spare wheel? Just fit a new tyre before your trip and refit the part worn when the new tyre is worn out.

Edit.... Just realised that's what you concluded - must read things properly :D
