Just been to Hein Gericke to buy their summer vented Tuareg jacket.

Large was a bit tight around the arse  XL was too long in the sleeve, plus the elbow armour was on the forearms & not on the elbows. OK if the adjustment straps done up tight, but then the venting wouldn't be so good.
There was another jacket, I think it was called air jacket, but it just seemed too flimsy.

Saw a Joe Rocket? at Infinity, but not convinced that a completely vented jacket is a good idea. Probably be too cold most of the time, as I will be commuting early morning.

Anyone got any reccomendations at max. £100

I got a Jo Rocket, brand new, with tags - 44" chest size.

Has vents in chest, back and sleeves that close up totally for cold. Also has fix-in fleece, and a natty built in ruck-sac. Really well made with armour etc.

New kiddie means I am having a clear-out (apparently).

Yours for £100 (plus postage).

I've got a Richa Air Vent type jacket, with water proof inner and also a thermal inner. Think that was around your budget and am pleased with it so far :thumb

Bigtwin

Have you got a picture of the Joe Rocket jacket, I'm doing the Riders for Health EnduroAfrica in November 2007 and am looking for some kit thats lighter than my BWM Savanna stuff

If anyone fits a (euro) 52 which is a UK 42"/44", give me 50 of your Earth pounds plus postage and it's theirs. :thumb

Brilliant - you can go jousting at the weekends too!

Motomartin, pmd you.

This Belstaff jacket, how good is the sizing/ I'm bordering on X large, with some makes of clothing. My Hein Gericke winter jacket is a good fit & large. Hmm, probably answered my own question

20 minutes tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo late :nono

But there again, how cheap was cheap? Go on, piss me off!

Jon, you still pleased with yours? Don't change yer mind now that I've ordered one anyway

I ended up buying the Joe Rocket total mesh jacket, brilliant today. Tomorrow morning at 7:00 am might be a tad different

I bought a Frank Thomas jacket a few weeks ago. Most of their stuff I have tried on in the past has been pants but I have to say that this jacket is the best vented jacket I have tried so far. Very comfortable and only cost about £80. I will only use it about 3-4 times a year I expect, but so far its been excellent on some middle of the day rides in the blazing sunshine. 9.5/10. It even comes with a rain jacket zipped in to the back of it :D

Apparently a waistcoat can be bought for the joe rocket Phoenix airmesh jacket. This is soaked in water for a couple of minutes  then evaporation kicks in & you cool down. So says the blurb I've read on the net.
Not meant to drip or actually feel wet. E-mailed Infinity to see if they sell it, Ok the shops not open this time of night is it, Mr. Smartypants.
