Have a good trip Richard and Wanderers.

Re your Garmin issues (I'm on my third one in six months) you may want to try deleting all of your extra language files. Mine would always crash when recalculating routes when I was going off piste. Head of Tech Support in the US told me to do this after a few earlier muppets saying Master Reset. Deleting the language files has made my unit faster and I haven't had any importing route problems since I have done it. Garmin tech support in the US is much better than the UK.

Certainly deleting language files helped the 550 along*. Deleting the help files, too :thumb2

*Don't forget to leave one English version, or you'll hear nothing from the voice instructions :blast

One distant traveller lost to the tender care of recovery, I'm afraid.

Dreadful luck to make it from Dublin to just junction 7 of the A26. All joking apart, it's not fair!

Toad's venting problem fixed though, so not an entirely bad day.

Saving a fortune on petrol in sunny Lille, and no toad snoring :)
Hope the part turns up tomorrow, and head homeward.
Its been an adventure, just not as planned :)

Next time, on a beemer (those K1600 are nice)
