), that you may encounter a convoy of slow-moving mini-bus and three or four small beige cars (some with badly attached zimmer-frames on the roof).
These will be piloted and filled with Blue-Rinse Mafia, probably all Oo-ing and Ah-ing, looking for the next place to stop to empty colostomy bags, buy lace doilies and look wistfully at bags of toffee that their dentures cannot cope with anymore.
My mother, who is nearly 80, has been staying in Torbay this week with a herd of her mates. I popped-up and spent the day with her and had expected that the 'do' was coach-borne. I was surprised to see her car in the hotel car park. It transpired that they drove down in the above mentioned convoy and she took pride in disclosing that during the journey down, not one car got amongst them!
