I thought i should write to you regarding my personal findings over the last couple of years.

Carrying my phone in jacket chest pockets!

Now i have talked to few fellow bikers and they have experiences similar problems. Now i understand if you take this with a pinch of salt but please ask around your friends and family.

For two years at least i carried my phone in my top pocket[ of my motorbike jacket. During this time i was getting palpitation, and a tremor in my chest ever so often, even if i had taken the jacket off!
I didn't put two and two together.

i went to see my doctor who ran EEG on a number of occasions and everything was fine? I thought i was going mad!

I never linked when i carried the phone in my front jeans pocket i was getting a fake text messages! Where you think you are a getting a text message only to find that nothing is there?

I now longer get any problems of Palpitations and fake text messages as i no-longer carry the phone on me turned on.

I did some research and found that the phones give of small amounts EMF but over time build up on our bodies and plays tricks on your nervous system. Which is not good for us. electrosensitivity.

Unfortunately i have now been effected by all this.

Please take the time to look at this site, and help yourself and family!

Have a look at this...

Might ease your fears a little.

Thank you, have seen this site before and yes i would have maybe agreed with the views on this site a year ago.

But since what has happened to me, and other friends who have similar symptoms, and other people ive met with ES this is real.

I wish it wasn't.

ES is recognized in Canada and Sweden, but not here yet!
To much money involved in the telecommunication industry to recognise it!!!

Essex electrosensitivity study results…

… and they’re negative. Subjects were unable to distinguish whether the signal was present or absent. It is truly fantastic that for almost the first time ever the discussion around electrosensitivity is actually addressing the evidence, rather than anecdote. Cue a barrage of abuse from the electrosensitive lobby.

I’ll be updating as responses from lobbyi$ts and news coverage comes in, do please post links and text below and I will link to them.

Most importantly, I have a close personal relationship with knowledge, and it has disclosed to me its desire to be free. Therefore here is the original academic paper, so you can make your own mind up about it:

after several Weeks of operation a discernible difference in the reflector on a 934mhz antenna is discernible to the naked eye.this is the band taken over for Mobile phone operations, quite close to the frequency used by microwave ovens. :rob i dont like having mobiles on my person, but have to cary two on my belt, one is a pesonel tracker, the other a blackberry. I dont like it, but cant do a lot about it :(

Just a note of ref.

Why are there guide lines [EC directives] on Electronic devises to control the amount of EMF, if there is nothing wrong with EMF.

Dont believe everything on the web, and that goes on both sides

Look you can take it it or leave it, but your body will tell you.
All im advising is dont keep your head in the sand about this issue.

.

Ummm.. there are EC directives on the curviness of a banana, but it won't stop me eating them!

How much EMF are we exposing ourselves to sat in front of this monitor reading this stuff and replying?

Them EC directives are bloody everywhere .... smoking is dangerous, at one time of day all the things pointed to Lung Cancer, now it seems that has fallen into the background. In the foreground we have heart disease instead... but Prostrate Cancer seems to be gaining ground together with Cervical Cancer....
and whilst i'm here .... whats happened to Aids in the UK??
Once upon a time it was going to be the biggest killer out .. the Government don't seem to be putting the Public service announcements out every 5 minutes now. These days its more important to be reducing the Carbon Footprint :rob

It's not that long ago that doctors were telling patients to smoke to relieve stress and local authorities were insulating school classrooms with blue asbestos.

There is much we don't know about mobile phones and I will not carry a mobile in a pocket in tight clothes, neither will my kids.

Now you might think this is all bollocks but you really don't know and where big business and gov revenue is concerned you wont get to the bottom of it until the evidence is indisputable.

I will wait for the criticism of this post, but as someone who went through 7 months of chemo with 4 tumors in my groin I am absolutely convinced that there is a connection (my consultant told me it was likely but not proven) and I will not take a chance.

What you all do is up to you but don't slag Giles for raising the issue as he may just have a point.

Thank you Daffy sorry to hear about this.

Im not on this site to sell anything, or preach. Just to tell people what happened, and what ive done about it.

And yes there is EMF everywhere in the modern world, its just keeping it at a safe distance. And letting your bodies recover from it at night is very important.

So we can all enjoy riding our GS1200 for many years to come. Which of course produce small amounts of EMF ahhhhh!

He's absolutely right about the dangers of mobile phones in chest pockets.

When I came off the bike in 2001 (when mobiles were the size of half a brick) I broke 2 ribs because of it.... :D

I carry my phone in my jenas pocket,,,

This probably explains why I get an uncontrolable erection when a lovely lass walks past me.:nenau

A section taken from the 3G iphone manual. Nothing to worry about?

This explained my Phantom text messages, and chest tremors.

iPhone’s SAR measurement may exceed the FCC exposure guidelines for
body-worn operation if positioned less than 15 mm (5/8 inch) from the
body (e.g. when carrying iPhone in your pocket). For optimal mobile device
performance and to be sure that human exposure to RF energy does not
exceed the FCC, IC, and European Union guidelines, always follow these
instructions and precautions: When on a call using the built-in audio receiver
in iPhone, hold iPhone with the dock connector pointed down toward your
shoulder to increase separation from the antenna. When using iPhone near
your body for voice calls or for wireless data transmission over a cellular
network, keep iPhone at least 15 mm (5/8 inch) away from the body, and only use carrying cases, belt clips, or holders that do not have metal parts and that maintain at least 15 mm (5/8 inch) separation between iPhone and the body.

If you are still concerned about exposure to RF energy, you can further limit
your exposure by limiting the amount of time using iPhone, since time is a
factor in how much exposure a person receives, and by placing more distance between your body and iPhone, since exposure level drops off dramatically with distance.

And get your cholesterol level checked, don't eat too much salt or sugar, drink moderately, don't smoke, don't eat hot curries or get excited. And always wear a vest and hat.

You'll be fine. :D

I keep mine in one of these, tenner from the bike section in Halfords. :D

I've spent the last 25 years working on high power microwave and medium wave transmitter sites which doesn't bode well for me if all this is true. It is however my understanding that non-ionising radiation (ie radio energy) is NOT cumulative like ionising (ie nuclear) radiation, and disipates fairly quickly from the body as heat. That said, I am relatively wary of using a mobile phone for too long especially in non-urban situations where it is likely to be using greater power to reach the more distant cell site. If you're not actually speaking on a mobile phone it spends very little time transmitting so the average RF level will be extremely low - which is why the battery lasts so much longer - so I'm not too worried about having one in my pocket apart from the physical risk in an accident.
