so bloke buys a v7 , g/box goes wrong , phones up asking if i warranty my work , i say yes ...to a point.
he says , i got this bike, it's broken the g/change spring , clutch slips , you worked on it last .
ok , says i ... what reg , whose bike ? mileage ?
he says , oh i got it a month ago ( no liability for me then ) and it's broken , it's your job to fix it.
he brings bike over in a van ,
i worked on it 5 years ago , says i , i did a small service , you have it there in your records .
well says he , i want it fixed ....OK , i'll just do a quick estimate of cost .
he says , i want it done properly , new clutch , new rms , and new seals and bearings in the g/box ....this is your fault !
i say nothing , do an estimate £800 labour , £600 in parts ....there you are .
he says warranty ? i say ....not having seen it for 5 years .....NO.
i even help him put it back in the van , cos i'm nice like that.

You seem to have been very fair with the chancer , I would have told him to FRO and not even get the bike out of the van ,never mind helping him push his bike in their

i have a reputation for being rude/short/brusque/curmudgeonly , when i'm being nice to a twat , they don't even realise.

i strive to be fair , i live in a very small world.
