Was it a Tosser of this parish, chasing me over the A939 to Ballater today, went into Ballater then reappeared behind me later on in Fettercairn? Riding a red 1200GS, had very distinctive trousers on:augie

It was me. The trousers were a gift from a dying orphan. I promised him that I would wear them any time I was up that neck of the woods.

Wissnae me, I was there yesterday on red GSA, but no troosers (distinctive anyways :D) Too many "cyclists" out today so gave it a miss

What was going on with all the bikes today on that road? Some sort of training event :nenau noticed the van and bike trailer plus learners about, or was the trailer reassurance for 1200GS riders:augie I really should have stopped and said hello as I'm yet to meet any SS Tossers on a personal level, but If not from this parish I don't think asking someone are they a Tosser is a good opening line. But now I know your trousers I'll say hello next time.

Ok so they are a bit bright, used to match my 996.
I went the South Deeside road after Ballater, then back over the Cairn road.

I too was looking for a chance to say Hi.

I live in Montrose had been out on a DBF run.

You kept some neat lines on the road.

The trailer was nothing to do with our group.
When you passed us at the junction we were waiting on one lad on a 125. Fair credit to the lad as it was a 300mile run we did.

The GS was running fine I might add, although rear tyre seen better days.

How will we recognise you Fatbaldbob:nenau

:D

The clues in the name:augie But the bikes very distinctive too!

I too went over the Cairn on my way to Montrose, I live there most of the week and and was on my commute back after the weekend, small world.

Hi, I was also there on a red gsa...ordinary trousers...so nothing distinctive. I was there with a couple of mates, we were on the UCAN run (Urology thing). Basically it was a fundraising run for prostrate cancer and the like, which one of the mates attending has (still rides his Duc Ok though). The run started near Ballater, took in a fair bit of deeside/aberdeenshire through Alford and back to Dinnet, lots of old and new metal out and I guess this goes some way to explain the number of bikes kicking around....and maybe the trailer but I wasn't aware of that one.

Nah, wasn't you, those trousers are unmistakeable, but I think I saw you parking up at the tea shop come cafe type place in Dinnet at about 1630:nenau

My garish trousers were out by themselves today...but i don't know which bike they were riding...possibly a MV Agusta America or a NSU Quickly.

Me myself was wearing normal trousers and busy dropping my bike in exactly the same muddy rut that i did two weeks ago...I didn't see anyone else, so i doubt if it was me.

well you could come along to the Xmas do.....:augie

failing that, hopefully you can make one of the weekend meet ups....:thumb

When not in the yellow leathers, I have my summer vented Arlen Ness red one. :blast

I do intend to buy a touring suit someday, just never got around to it, as I feel safer in my leathers.
Probably get a s/h set to see what I make of it, but will need to be Fat B-Stard size.
