Was It You?

I have just completed a search on some of the roads and view points we found when in Scotland. I would have thought they would have been posted hundreds of times, they were so great, but alas not.

Having considered the original posters comments, and if it is to be believed, I can only assume no one in Scotland who posts on here has found them yet.

I will not bore you all with a list of said roads and vantages we found , for example the road to, and scenery around Castle Tioram.

RONNO if you would like to PM me I am more than happy to give you the benefit of my experience, I would hate for you, or anyone else, to miss out on some fantastic rides that are on your door step, simply because not everyone correctly posts them under the right heading. (Some might call that lacking in imagination, I wouldn’t be so bold)

Well done Ronno you are a credit to Gssers, those who rely on tourism to make a living in the area , and the people of Scotland in general. :clap:clap

Thanks again for the positive PMs and replies very much appreciated.:thumb2

PB

Did you do a ride report?

Are you the one so lacking in imagination that you felt the need to create a new thread instead of replying to the original post creator?

Allow me to explain. I'll try and keep it simple for you: I only had to type the first post once. If I replied to the "original OP" as you suggested, I'd have had to type it about 40 times cos that's about how often the same type of post has appeared in here recently.

Castle Tioram

Castle Tioram??

Took a while to find.

What a stunning wee castle!!

Passed that way TWICE last year.

Good excuse to back and see this and wild camp by the sea before the nights really draw in.

Brill thanks for that! :beerjug:

Clearly these requests for local knowledge seem to raise your blood pressure, if that's the case why do you keep reading them :blast

It takes a wee bit more than that to raise my blood pressure TBH but thanks for your concern. I didn't know you cared :D :thumb2

Aye there is many a fine road, as there is many a quiet bay to anchor in.

You lot have our whisky, tartan, Aberdeen Angus, shortbread the list goes on.

Why would we tell you all the good things aboot up here it is not busy enough.:D

Odd, isn't it?

If someone posted a much repeated query in the Beakchat section and someone else commented about not reading the relevant section before posting, hardly anyone would raise an eyebrow. Happens all the time.

Dare to post anything like that in the Scotch Section and whole phalanx of dickheads suddenly decide to start posting in it just to be be offended on someone elses behalf.

Whats wrong with people asking for advice from locals, I thought thats what these forums were for

I used to quite fancy touring Scotland on a bike untill I started looking at this forum and realised what rude and ignorant people live there. Now I think I'd rather make the short journey to Dover and explore France and the rest of Europe rather than slog up to a wet, cold, midge infested sh*thole full of rude people who's idea of good food is dipping a Mars Bar in the chip fryer.

Dare to post anything like that in the Scotch Section .............

Oi Klankers, can you post a link to that section, it sounds like it nmight be of interest.

Please list all the key strokes required to get to it and whether or not my standard keyboard will be OK or if I need to get a special one.:D
