not goretex, just Frank Thomas lined trousers using their own waterproof material.
label says not to machine OR hand wash
the lining stinks after many sweaty trips LOL

any suggestions on cleaning?

My HG ones say the same.

I take the linings out, wash them as normal 40 degree wash. For the main trousers I use Nikwax TechWash then use Nikwax TX10 Direct wash in.

Never had any problems either time I've done that.

I then re-oil the leather bits to stop it drying out.

the lining is attached and cannot be removed :(

+1 for Techwash & TX Direct wash-in proofing by Nikwax.

I would be inclined to put them through "delicates, 30deg" cycle using the Techwash, then the same cycle using TX Direct. Don't bother to remove from the machine between the wash and the proofing.

I have a Frank Thomas jacket - that too is said to be not washable. Ludicrous! Fortunately it has yet to start smelling... :augie
