I've seen the same guy driving on two separate occasions in less than a week and he is an absolute nutter with a deathwish and doesn't care who he takes with him.

I'm not sure exactly who the driver is but I'm guessing he's a young male probably under 20

The car is a White Vauxhall Vectra registration R***NHR and I've seen him on both occasions driving around Lechlade on Thames though I'm guessing he is from either Fairford or Welford.

If (as unlikely as it is) you know this guy then please have a word with him, both times I've seen him so far he drives like life is a playstation and he has a cheat for unlimited lives. This is a guy who will end up killing someone very soon.

Sorry I know the mods will probably the number plate, but I have never seen anyone drive so consistently crazy on the road.

Phone the Old Bill ...

... and insist they make some enquiries BEFORE he generates a statistic or two. When you phone, ask for your community officer and get a name :thumb2

Done... phone it in earlier, just never sure what actually gets done about this sort of thing - at the end of the day it's one persons word against another.

I actually reported it to the non-emergency number at Gloucester Police, do you suggest I follow it up with a call to the community officer in a couple of days?

Set of plates made, borrow a mates Vectra, find a couple of speed cameras :augie

Does he frequent the same roads/area at around the same time. More evidence for the police to wait for him to go past.

Its not much use phoning a community officer. They are not policemen and do not have many powers and certainly no cars. You need to speak to the traffic Dept. Unfortunately some forces have disbanded theirs and are not interested it seems. It is a sad fact that road policing is a low priority with some forces although they claim the opposite and rely soley on speed cameras or go completely over the top as in North Wales. If you do have a traffic dept, have a word there and best of luck, ( this from an ex trafficman):rob

He of course ment roads Policing unit :augie

Nope.... He meant a trafficman, before all this pc bull. Drove marked cars built as specials for the police, tested them to the limit(sometimes beyond) without some pillock reporting us for speeding, and we could still ask for and get permission to ram.:rob

Sorry guys, meant to update this previously, but we're recently moved and have been without internet access for a couple of weeks - not a problem though as there are a load of other things that need to be done here to occupy my time ;)

anyway... long story short, I reported the incident (well two seperate incidents in one call) to Gloucestershire Police who referred it to the local bobby, I was told to expect a call back the next day and never did so didnt think much more of it, got busy with other things and never saw the idiot on the road again.

well last week, about a month after reporting the guy to the police I get a phone call from said local bobby to let me know that he'd spoken to the guy and issued him some kind of Section (can't remember the exact phrase), basically if this guy has another similar incident reported against him in the next 12 months he looses his licence no matter what he's driving and if the Vectra he was driving is seen pulling similar stunts (regardless of driver) it gets crushed.

got to be honest I'm pretty impressed with the response... my comment to the local bobby (sorry I can't remember his name) was that I guess the guy had been reported by a few people, to which he explained no, it was all based on the two separate incidents I reported.

And I always thought these kind of things just got filed...

'Old on....some twat can make a phone call reporting two incidents, then get his mate to make a further report a month later after some 'section xx' thing is served and blokey loses his license??

What a load of total utter bollox.......where's the due process?
Investigation?

What's to stop me phoning up and getting anyone I like banned?

Madness...utter madness.........

hummm interesting, I hadnt thought of it that way... I know it seems petty, but I've reported people before - last was some guy who suggested I should report him after we had a bit of a discussion about how to drive along country lanes. In the past nothing has ever happened - no I guess should it have.

But this guy in the Vectra was a nutter to watch him was like watching someone driving on a playstation the guy seriously drove like he had a unlimited lives cheat and watching him I knew he was going to kill someone.

Due process is a good point, I've probably got some of the detail of the conversation with the bobby wrong - or maybe it was just a story he spun to let me think something had happened (but really why??)

Dunno, maybe one of the boys in blue out there can work out the truth in this??? but I was impressed that someone had seemingly taking the thing seriously because I swear this guy was going to kill someone if somebody didnt have a chat with him...
