Thought I'd post this here too

My other Half and I took a scoot up the Coast Road (A2 East Antrim N Ireland) on Saturday in the wee Rover convertible, This is allegedly one of the best biking roads in the UK

BUT Fuck me there are some right Knobs on bikes out there!

Saturday Afternoon heading north at a brisk pace with the hood down

Knob one on a Kawasucky sports thing, Knob in kawasucky leathers Decided to do an overtake on the straight but miscalculates speed/distance and completes on the wrong side of a blind left hander not getting in till after the Apex (blind corner cos there's a big fuck off cliff on the left on most of the quicker bits on the way North!)

WRONG WRONG WRONG

Knob 2 was on a sporty thing too and showed some restraint waiting till the next clear bit but went for the overtake only to find it was a tightening right hander at his complete point and he was going WAY too Hard

To finish the trio was a more sedate bloke on a GS with full leathers who also had the bum clencher of making that tightening right while going pretty damn quick for it

To be truthful Number three was the more composed and the other 2 were just out to "Own" the road, but he did follow knob 2 past just before the tightener

We met them up at Ballycastle and I couldn;t even be arsed to have a yarn with them

I am really really glad we didn't have to clean up the mess of number 1 as we couldn;t actually see him get back on his own side for most of the corner and really did fear the worst

My thoughts there should be a lot more tracks and trackdays for muppets like this Our Coast Road is littered with memorials off Fucked up overtakes!

and these three knobheads are exactly why I no longer go up the coast road because I've never managed it without encountering the whole knobhead extended family

I tend to go up during the week on my days off ,empty roads with no Speed merchants .here"s me last week

The coast road is a lovely scenic ride, I agree.
It is not a scratcher's road, there are too many hazards, both obvious and hidden, and with the miles of walls either side the penalty for making a mistake is huge.
Only the stupid and unwary scratch it.

Hmm DR800?

Just the toy for hooning around Torr head LOL

Better Sight lines if anything

Not many power ranger brigade up there!

The Torr Head road is a hoot. I did it on a mate's Mk1 Multistrada a few years ago when we were over for the NW200.

A 600 single is quick enough to show the power rangers the way round the coast ,not to many Rossi wannabes over Torr head Jay , can"t beat it on a Tuesday morning ,traffic free :blagblah

Just the odd sheep or two and maybe an Irate farmer as you pop her on the back wheel and sail over the top LOL

Seriously tho I think Enduro trail style bikes are a bit less invasive or aggressive and usually the folks riding them have an idea how to ride

Some of the sportsbike riders :augie :augie :augie Would it be fair to say Statistics waiting to happen??

I believe I know of "knob 1". He's one of the quickest riders I've ever seen.......................... in a 30 zone :augie
He's well known for riding like a dick on the coast at the weekend. Have a look at the porch of "The Sheddings" pub the next time you pass it. The big crack in it was caused by his last Kwack
Unfortunately I also know the guy on the GS but I wouldn't ride with him - he's very irratic ;)
They want to ride like that when its busy cause they think they look cool :tosser
