Following on from a hi-jack of NI Phil's thread here I have been thinking of a Fish Dash to Waterford after the Kesh weekend and Easter.

There's an Italian chipper in the town that do the finest F&C you're likely to get anywhere. No sit in though, but sure we could munch outside. I can't remember the name of the place, but I reckon I could find it again without too much bother.

We could maybe sort out a B&B for further travelling lads and of course a date will have to be arranged that will co-incide with Bin Ridin's time off schedule.

David Gibson has already expressed his interest ,so what do the rest of youse think?

Hmmmm.........Where would that be then Aidan?
You sure you're not thinking of Tramore (for which see post 56) ? Could be Dooley's or Cunninghams (since closed :( )

Might have been Harry Ramsden's near the hospital :nenau - but thats since changed hands - a few times (now 'Italo's' - and aint great) at least not the last time I was there (not too recently....)

Anyways, I'm in (couldn't not be !) and can assist with 'ground handling'.

Vireo

Deffo not Tramore Vireo.

Coming into town, turn right at the roundabout by the railway station, cross over the bridge and head striaght up the hill. The chipper was on the left near the top of the hill and from what I can remember there was a big square or parking area up there too. It's at least five years since I was there, but from memory it was Italian run, but I may be wrong. :o

Should be..........its a bit far from me to get there and back home while the grub's still hot, so I'm a rare visitor. Never heard a bad word about it.....

Put me down for that one :thumb2
Dunno if I can wait until after Easter for a bit of fish & chips though

Patience is a virtue lad. ;)

I have PM'd Bin Ridin to find out what his "home time" schedule is. Once we know how he is fixed we can set a date and plan a nice route.

FIsh Dash

If the date doesn't clash with a trip to Scotland:oonyack, I`ll tag along... any excuse for good F&C :thumb2

Fish Dash

If there is food at the end of the run, the begining, the middle, O well ye get the idea.... I'm in to.

Best Chis and Fips in Waterford is available at Johnny Walkers on Mayors Walk. It's a little further up The Glen and turn right opposite Garda station.

Regards,
Kieran.
