Waterproof gloves anyone?

Despite buying countless pairs of gloves (all goretex) and each promising the world in terms of their waterproofness, I've yet to find a pair that live up to the promise! Currently have BMW pro summer - seemed okay for the first 18 months then leaked like a sieve in heavy down pours. They were replaced by BMW first time around but these lasted about the same time before leaking again in similar conditions. Am I expecting too much or is 18-24 months what I should expect from gortex gloves - no matter what price is paid?

Could not agree more! I have had numerous pairs of so called waterproof glove. Mostly goretex. I always tuck the gloves under sleeves of the jacket so water does not run in. I would love to hear from anyone who has a waterproof set.

I use these http://www.rain-off.com/ totally waterproof and nice and warm. Maybe not exactly what you are looking for? They allow me to wear summer gloves through showers and then these on top through the worst downpours and still be warm and dry.

BMW Pro winter gloves seem to be dry until the Twat suit tips water out of the sleeves and piss the gloves through from the inside

Been using these the last 4 years and on second pair now, use them in winter on the enduro bike with heated grips and they are the best investment along with MVP socks and gerbing heated jacket i have used.

i just found those on ebay but i went for the Weise for £11 after reading good things about them.

Wish I had seen those first I do like the two finger gloves I bought though.

All gloves leak sooner or later. Keep using your old ones and carry disposable latex ones to put over the top. Leaves more money for beer and they also come in handy (crap pun I know) for keeping yer mitts and inside of your gloves clean if you need to a bit of roadside repair work.

The Rukka gloves I use have been good for thirty to forty thousand miles.

The left one though is starting to have its inner liner coming away, making it difficult to put on if my hand is damp.

Proggling the inside of the fingers with the brake or clutch lever helps.

For very heavy rain, I have some overmits and / or a pair of Dainese overgloves, both of which work well. The only all but guaranteed solution to dry warm hands, is mitts.

Bugger 'style' and comfort yourself that a million couriers can't all be wrong.

Those Weiss over gloves are bloody amazing. Wore them for 8 hours in rain with light summer gloves underneath. Warm and dry

Not very fashionable though

The closest I have had are BMW summer gloves, but after about four hours they started to leak. Fitting muffs solved the problem.
