As its pissing down outside and seems likely to do so for most of the "summer" I have decided I need a pair of waterproof summer gloves.
I have read good things about the Halvarrsons Comet gloves - any comments re these or any other recommendations?

I have Rukka Apollo gloves. Thin and totally waterproof ( Gortex ).

Try them on first though, or buy one size up.......... good luck.

Rukka Vauhti Goretex are my next glove purchase.

I think they're discontinued so may be difficult to find.

Sent using hocus pocus........... boo!

Have a look at May/June issue 34 Adventure bike rider there's a review of summer gloves at the back Wiese Wave and Linstrands Comet come out best in cost and the latter in waterproofness (if that's actually a word).

Hi

I have a pair of Alpinestar 365 gloves. They are the most tactile waterproof glove Ive seen.

I wear BMW 2in1 gloves. Neve used the waterproof part of the glove though as they feel a bit tight and in winter i fit muffs to the bike anyway. If it rains in summer I put on a pair of these over gloves that I keep in my top box...

Tried the Lindstrand Comets but found them a bit too short. Decided to go with the Rukka Apollo - tried FC Moto but my size not available, so had to pay good old Blighty prices unfortunately from Motolegends.

Have been really pleased with these Summer Gloves from BMW - thin, waterproof and I wear them most of the year round.

I have a pair of Held dual pocket gloves. Brilliant. One pocket is GoreTex and utterly waterproof, the other is perforated and as soon as you switch out of the Gore side you really feel the airflow. Not cheap at £169 a couple of years back but wearing well and IMO worth it. Fit is bit neat so I'm one size up from what I would normally expect to buy. The long cuff has enough adjustment that you can wear it inside or outside of your jacket sleeves.

rukka appollo are good if you're -

a) minted

b) have really weird shaped hands

becoming a fan of Weise gear now Hein Gericke is no longer in the UK in any big way.

Fowlers have some end of line stuff - the £20 Fusion gloves are pretty good. They have a thin lining so not ideal for very hot days but ideal for colder, wet days, typical of a British summer. http://www.fowlers.co.uk/shop/sale-clearance-1056

The £60 jacket is great value too

I bought the halvarson lindstrand comment gloves at the weekend and got caught in heavy rain on the way home they stayed bone dry. Very comfortable but possibly a bit to warm for real hot weather
