Righto, so my waterproof trousers work okay, but putting them on over the top of my Alpinestars Tech 3 boots is a pain in the arse.

Are there waterproof trousers with zips down the outside of each leg? Granted with a flap or cover on them so water doesn't seep through the zip itself?

Either that or some waterproof trousers that aren't difficult to put on.

Also, why the **** am I asking this in the height of summer!? :jibber

was looking at some klimacomfort 2 trousers yesterday. full length side zips, non snagging liner, good fit but £120!! Oh and they are not goretex.

I have the original goretex klimacomfort jacket which is brill, if BMW guarantee these they may be for you?

Water proof Trousera

Hi, I use the water proof builders trousers bought from a local workwear shop £12.00. I can get my boots through them so no need for zips etc. They are sort of rubberised fabric things. I have ridden in some pretty torrential rain in them and never got wet. Just remember to get them big enough to get over your riding gear. These are not breathable fancy Goretex or anything but they are £12.00 and 100% waterproof.

We have a winner......:clap :thumb

I had un-waterproof leathers, over trousers & a pair of textile (waterproof - yeah right) trousers. All were getting a little worn, so to replace the leathers and the textiles would have cost a fair bit. So for my 50th everyone got me Hein Gerike vouchers. I got a pair of Sheltex waterproof leather trousers, a bit steep in the sale at £300, but they are all I need! Very waterproof, tried & tested (I'm nearly 51 & it rains a lot here...). Bit hot in the summer but you can't have everything! Anyway summer's cancelled in UK this year!
