Can anyone tell me the whats the watts to amps conversion please? :nenau

Val.

You can't! :eek

It's like asking how can I convert hours into inches.

WAV

Watts / Amps = Volts

Amps x Volts = Watts

Watts / Volts = Amps

Volts / Amps = Ohms

Watts = Amps x Volts

Assuming you're talking about a bike then volts = 12.

Therefore Watts = Amps x 12

or

Watts / 12 = Amps

a*v=w

so it helps if you know one of the variables, like 12v, or 13.2 if you're OCD.
50w /12v = 4a

Not sure if you're asking the right question Val. I'll assume that you are trying to work out what size fuse to use for a given Wattage. The calculation would be: Watts divided by Voltage = Amps eg. 60W divided by 12V = 5 Amps.
If this is not what you are asking, then I apologise for wittering on.:D

Hell, don't apologise. That's the best thing I've learnt all day. :D

Also bear in mind;if you are trying to work out which fuse to fit,a 5Amp fuse blows at 5Amps so build in a degree of leeway.Ie,a 5Amp circuit should be protected by an 8A or 10A fuse.
