WAVE brake discs

One of my fashion-challenged mates has put WAVE discs on his R1.

Told me that the braking was improved.

Will it work for the GS?

Or would I look like a big(ger) twit?

From what I`ve read about them,they`re no improvement at all on the road,and they EAT pads.

They may be an improvement in muddy off-road applications,as that is allegedly where they originated.

They do look rather nice though...
