I think I now understand why I can load maps from MapSource to my SPIII (via the GPS's removable card) but the waypoints created on my PC don't transfer with the maps (because they're not stored on the card, but in the GPS's own memory). Firstly, is that correct???

If so, I need to use the serial cable to connect again and transfer waypoint data to my GPS unit. But my PC doesn't have a serial port... is there any way, other than getting hold of a USB/Serial converter, to achieve this??

Cheers,
