Got a WC booked for a 4 day ride around the Alps next week. I haven’t ridden one before and have only sat on one once so don’t know a great deal about WC’s.

If it’s hot I sometimes like to remove the screen from my 1150 – better air flow and makes the bike feel lighter and more agile for some reason. Has anyone ridden a WC without the screen? Is it easy to remove? And importantly, would the screen fit in one of the panniers? If you’ve got pix that would be great. Ta

No need to remove it, just wind it down to min and it creates a lovely smooth cooling airflow directly into the vents on my Shoei Neotec.

I took the hand guards off mine for the summer, to help direct more air into my Mesh jacket. :D

Put it on the lowest setting for this exact reason, Adam.:thumb

Let us know what you think if the bike.:rob

Got it - screen on low. Traction control off. Map gaffer taped to the tank.

I've got a nasty feeling that getting back on my old 1150 after 4 days of hooning about on a WC isn't going to be the most pleasant of experiences :augie

Stick it in dynamic mode, and leave it on, you'll have a ball!:D

Keep the screen on. I'm 5ft 11 and the screen is perfect on both settings. No buffeting at all
