Bike is a 64 plate GS WC TE. The problem is that the speedo is too small. The solution would be to have actual speed displayed on the screen, however due to the nature of the info screen it isnt much use as it suffers from glare/reflections even with overcast daytime riding conditions.
Does anyone know if this is possible or not???.

I am led to believe there is an ambient light sensor somewhere, but no idea where. IF I could find it would taping over it fool the instrument lighting to come on at full strength even during daytime use???

Paid my deposit today, cant wait for all the paperwork to be completed.

Mark.

P.S. LED headlight fitted and spot(driving) lights too....

In the setup, you can control the brightness. If the sun is that bright that you can't see the display, I'd recommend looking at the road.:aidan

I assume you didn't buy it from Bahnstormer?:P

Bloody hell Nutty, what about letting sleeping dogs lie FFS. You wouldnt believe where I got it from....... Anyway thanks for taking the time to reply..... Simple solution I guess is 4 EXTRA markers on the clocks at 30 40 50 and 70, preferably something thats not going to fade out. You're being obtuse, you know as well as i do LOTS of people have criticised the clocks as being too small and or hard to read at a quick glance...

Get a 2017 bike, the speedo is bigger!:D

Did you get it from Vines?:augie

Yes, cannot remember the actual route to setting it, but you can select brightness levels 1-5. Other option if you use a Nav V on the can have the speed in very large letters only up on the screen, or a selection of other info if you need it bigger.

Put some tape over the light sensor

You can set the brightness of the display, page 48/49 of the manual.
You need to press "Trip" button until you see "set Up Enter" on the screen, then press and hold "Trip" button.
Keep pressing "Trip" button to scroll through the menus until you come to "Bright" with a number under it, from 0 - 5.
Press "Info" button to scroll through the values from 0 (Dark) to 5 (Bright).
