Wear out now please FFS

i couldnt give a fkuc about the mileage (imho) grip is far more important thats why i use the exp,,why skimp on grip :nenau just so you can bum about the mileage ,,,nice outfit though:augie

I agree. this is why I chose BT020s last time.. and my next will very likely be Conti road or perhaps trail attacks.

750miles on ma Karoo the noo:cool:

Only squares and straights skrimp on rubbers:ymca

Not scrimped on rubber, I just bought a new pair and looked through my receipts to find out when they were fitted and how many miles I got from them, which surprised me.

A black board is black and the chalk is white.

On my third Avon Distanza on the back and the first on the front.

I'll never consider a slippery slidy Tourance again :thumb2

But the best ever road tyre was an BT020 but two and a half thousand miles saw them off twice

what I have and I believe I bought them based on what you said in another post from the past. :thumb

I'm well on the way to doing 3000 miles on them and they're still fine... in fact they're fantastic. only very slightly squared.
Could it be because I never go on Motorways and avoid dual carriageways as much as possible? I don't know.. but they are pretty damn good and sooooo sticky.
Another thing is the pressure for them should be rather higher than is recommended for tyres in the manual. (F-36 R-42 both solo and 2up) maybe that was a factor?

I just love the way the bike falls into corners and is completely unphased. :thumb Plus the way it swings through 90 degrees of arc is err... special. :bow

The only fly in the ointment is that these tyres are now supposededly discontinued in favour of the 021. But I remain optimistic that I will be able to track one down when the time comes. The front looks like its going to last.

I will try them Kev, although I must stay with the Tourance for my main trips. For example. My last was just short of six thousand miles. For general riding around the UK the BT020's are top of the list.
