Weathers kinda nice - time to ride!

Had to look on the map to find it. I've never been through there, so I'll need to give it a go.
Have the top dressing / stone chipping squads created any hazards this year?

No hazzards on this road apart from extreme hairpin bends, cattle grids and the odd cyclist. It's also a better run with Kenmore as your end point.

Sunny Scotland - Who knew!

So nice, I spent the weekend playing over on and near Ardnamurchan penisular.

agreed, it is best to finish at the kenmore end. i have done it both ways and it is easier for auld farts like me to go down the steep hairpins.

A few from the weekend and a few weeks ago from down the Galloway forest park

Was also on Mull last weekend, did a loop round the west coast of the island and stayed at Fidden for a couple of nights, stunning :D

It was Saturday night we stayed there, seen a few bikes there but never spoke to any of the owners.

I did see an AT when we were riding around looking for somewhere to camp, ended up in the area just before the farm. In all the years I've been going to Fidden I have never seen it that busy!

yep I remember two of you coming in, carrying enough stuff for the whole of the campsite, it was mega busy.

Maybe a slight exaggeration there but both of us are doing longer separate trips later this year so it was a bit of a shakedown weekend, I'll be carrying even more on my trip over and through Turkey..like a pillion...

Please tell me you weren't the one in the front standing up as you went back over the other side  and no, I didn't think I was over exaggerating, you looked to me to be carrying a ridiculous amount of gear, fuel cans ? ffs

I've looked at some of your posts before and you really come across as a total arse but now I know that you are a total arse and best ignored.
Enjoy your trips to Mull and your 250 mile loops close to home while the rest of us actually travel somewhere out of our comfort zones...did I say arse :dabone

You also may have difficulty reading and understanding, didn't I say that this was a shakedown trip . ie. carrying everything that will be needed on a longer trip away from the central belt regardless whether it gets used or not?

Africa Twin, you only need a Burgman scooter for what you do...now go away and stop feeling all bitter and twisted....ffs :D

So it was you standing up then  right enough, all those stickers you bought off ebay show you're a real world traveller ;) sure those fuel cans will come in handy when you run out in the middle between Tyndrum and Crainlarich :D

Didn't realise this was a cock waving topic about how far you travel on your "shakedowns" :blast I'll leave you now to tell all of your world travels :P

Did Mull and Iona at the weekend..

Never understood the phrase "did Mull" or wherever. When someone says they've "done" somewhere it sounds like they have finished it, ticked it off on the list and can move on.

Isn't is "visited" or "travelled through" or similar?

I've been around a lot of countries, including, eg, Scotland but I would never say I had done Scotland. Plenty more to do.

Pedantic rant over
