Weathers kinda nice - time to ride!

Headed out to the end of the Coignafearn glen to see if any eagles were lofting about . . . None seen 
Looking west up the glen . . . rain possibly coming
Then a trip over the little road that runs over Glen Allachy
Then headed west, stopping next to this memorial near Lochgarthside
. . . and then onto Foyers for a brew and a sandwich. This is the view from the café . . .
Headed back towards Inverness from Foyers, taking in the “corkscrew” on the way.
Just 170 miles, but all on dry roads and in ace company. Roll on the spring

Little run out to Lochindorb this afternoon . . .
Anyone thinking of paying the loch a visit might like to know you can only access it from the Dava moor road as a small bridge just off of the A939 Nairn-Grantown road has got a bit of a hole in it - no picture taken but I did ride all the way to the bridge to find out why the road is signed as closed. The snow gate shown on google maps are chained shut . . .

i remember trying to part a lassie from her knickers near lochindorb. unfortunately she was very strong willed.
A minor sleet shower blew past at 6pm, but the track dried out nicely for my second ride of the year. But boy oh boy it was a fresh evening on The Hill.
Down to 3 degrees by 8pm.
I enjoyed a few steady laps, being blown away by the racer boys. Finishing off my tyres before a new set goes on ahead of my imminent Euro trip.
Pulled the oil drain plug when I got home.
Thanks to Mr. Beaumont for a hairpin pic. (must find a real copy)
ps - I suspect I was the only one riding to and from the track, even though a few bikes wore reg plates

Yeah, it was in a bit of a state, I’ll show you the pics of the mess inside the cases
when I see you next. Engine now fully rebuilt, new main bearings, crank seals, gearbox bearings etc and top end.
Almost run in now but it’s running sweet.
Had a rendezvous with my lad at Tyndrum and he let me have shot on his new S1000 to Dalmally and back.
What a missile. But I couldn’t ride it all day.
Then we tootled home.

Wanted to Shake Down the bike after a few service jobs - oil, filters, pads, brake fluid, tyres - ahead of Euro trip, so popped out to “bag” the first 2 (of 26) lochs.
Hub drained when I got home.
Panniers fitted and suitably ballasted - no the dumbbells weren’t rattling loose.

Lovely motor. I regret letting a good one go.
I took a wee birl around the Woolfords triangle earlier in the week. That's my name for the bit of West Lothian / South Lanarkshire that's on your right as you head west along the Lang Whang. Who knew there's a ford there? I also visited what's left of the pioneering iron making centre of Wilsontown which is well worth a look ...
