Weathers kinda nice - time to ride!

The hills are still burning . . . this is the view from the A939, approx 4 miles from Grantown.

With bino's I could see the extent of the burn that has been doused, some of it up & over the tops of the hills (not visible to the camera or the naked eye).
This started over 2 weeks ago - I could smell it 2 weeks ago as I made my way south down the A93. There was also a helicopter doing its thing with a water bucket - again, only visible with the bino's.

Heres hoping they get it sorted soonest so the badly affected locals can get on with their lives!

Also hope the the land owners (RSPB) see the error of their ways and allow those with comprehensive knowledge of managing the hills to influence the management of the area in the future!

I took a group for a run around the Scottish Borders at the weekend. One of the places we visited was Bedrule Church. It's worth a visit in itself but for those who are into military history, there's a link to one of the key "turning point" incidents in WW2. Nuff said. Do a bit of searching.

And the roads around there are great too.
