Ok Chaps

1100GS, standard shocks, I am getting an odd weave or pulsing as I slowly go round roundabouts (turning right) only happens at low speed but is noticeable in the handle bars….. very odd, speed up goes away.

Any ideas

Er, go round a bit quicker? :)

Hard to tell really. Is there any play in a bearing (wheel, final drive, swinging arm) that shouldn't be there?

Final drive seems fine. No play in the paralever, The tyres need changing and will be next weekend. Its just a little anoying, now I know its there I am always looking for it.

Thanks for the input

It may well go away with the new tyres, although the Tourances on my bike are still legal theres a definite change in feel as they wear, It might be worth loosening all of the front end bolts, giving the forks a bounce and re-torquing them too.

No it isn't !.The telelever means you cant bounce them and you may twist the stanchions in the lower clamp.
End of life tyres is my guess if you dont have any movement in rear wheel/paralever or tired rear shock.

Yup just at walking pace. Any faster its smooth

Thanks for the input chaps

+1 for tyres, having experienced the same issue! How old are the ones you have now? Rounded off?

Nick

Rear is older than a very old thing in excess of 6K miles front is even older as it was on the bike when I got it.

I have been putting off due to getting new ones for the big trip
