charnock is good for me as i'm coming from widnes, so will do m62 then m6...........so after that i don't mind where i go...cos i'm only gonna be following.............lol

kirks ride

Hi all,
wangled the day off so wouldn't mind joining in the fun,
it seems to be raining late afternoon (is it some weird weather system)so hopefully should be ok tomorrow.
Will someone post as to wether it's happening.

I am in chester so could meet up with plrb from the wirral if you want to

:beerjug:Brian

i'm up for a ride too... tho cant make my mind up what the fook the weather is going to do:nenau

i really fancy doing the Lakes passes tho'... Hardknott,Wrynose, Kirkstone, etc.
(i do know my way round this lot reasonably well)

just dont fancy heading so far North as Hartside cos thats the direction the worst of the weather is heading

just need to see what the weathers doing early in the morning!

oops... didn't want to try and hijack the thread.... just trying to second guess the weather!

it all depends if your North or South of the Lakes

hm

Well, I'm wondering wot's happening too.

I'm still up for a play out :D think the weather is probably gonna be pretty much like today, so that's sun, sun and more sun till tea time.

I don't mind where we go, other than Hardknott, as just suggested by how much. I did it about 4 weeks ago, and don't fancy doing it again sooooo soon. Managed it Ok, but just don't fancy it if I don't have to :eek

If you guys wanna do Hardknott, I'll bow out and give it a miss tomorrow :rob Other than that I'm good to meet at Tickled Trout. Wot Time ??

Can some one just make a decision as to whether the ride is on or off :augie and where we are going :nenau

C'mon Kirk mi ol' mucker - what's the crack for tomorrow :hide

can't do tomorrow................having tyre fitted so i doubt i can make 9.30..............so friday would be better.........:D

Ahemmmmm :augie

Please forgive my ignorance, but I would have thought M56 to Charnock Richard would be 10 mins max. Carry on up the M6 for a further 10 mins and hey presto you can pick me up at Tickled Trout (Jn 31). I can be at Tickled Trout at 9.30 to fit in with your timings of leaving M56 at 9.00................so where you taking me next :D

Hmm ~ M56 to Tickled trout in 10 mins? WTF?
We are starting from beginning of M56 {just before Wales, approx 50 miles} so think 50 mins even in my old RS6 with cloaking device switched on at 03.00 would have struggled with 10 mins!

Dear oh Dear - so I got it wrong - I did say "forgive my ignorance" :blast

I thought the reference was to the other end of the M56, the end that meets with the M6 :augie

Sorrreeeeeee :aidan

takes 25 mins from jc 20 on m6 to charnock..........and the same maybe more for me to get from jc 10 56 to the little chef at start of m56....Docb.....must be one mega fast little 650 u ride..........lol

Docb.....must be one mega fast little 650 u ride..........lol

LOL - You must have heard about me :aidan

Looks like I've started the mother of all debates about how long it takes to travel the M6 :blast

I don't tend to do motorways on mi 'ickle 650, so who cares whether the M6 is in the middle or the end of the M56...............:hide

So - now that I've managed to upset all you "Tossers", am I still welcome tomorrow :bow if not I'll just begger off on mi own ooop norf somewhere.

Sorry for delay.........kids not sleeping !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad::mad::mad:
Due to weather and other given facts Friday is going to be the day.

if this means you have to come down to go back up again we can meet up with you at a further north location of your choice :thumb
wearing a pink carnation is a good idea
