Wedgetail Ignition

My final update. I was able to place an order for a single/single unit with Wedgetail EU. They have been very helpful and responsive. The unit arrived today and is now fitted and working fine. Delivery took about 2 weeks, it should have been quicker but half of that time was for the last 20miles, after clearing customs. Total cost was very reasonable compared to Motobins, including import and handling fees of £73.73. So if anyone wants to continue ordering Wedgetail units, this is definitely a possible route.
I did have response back from Langdon, Wedgetail AU. He said he is currently working on sorting US delivery and would look at UK after that is resolved. However, shipping from Germany does work currently.

Wedgetail were my goto favourite.
I’ll be fitting a tri spark from motorworks next week.
Will report back
That is a good price. It looks like fixed advance? Fitting where the advance or bean-tin was looks super simple to get going.

I'm still happy with my Silent Hektik. Variable curves and adjustability if you have something non-standard. I recently swapped the inductive/resistive ignition leads to copper to match the resistor plugs (iridium), and the idle has improved further. The price is still bonkers though.

Now a few years down the line, have there been any real issues with Wedgetail trigger/ignition units? Fitted mine (twin Hall/single electronics) around 12 months ago and have to say that it's been the greatest transformation to any of my bikes made over the years. Shall be embarking shortly on my annual run up to Norway and was wondering if there might be any Wedgetail-related issues lurking around the corner.
There's plenty of moans and grumbling about these on Advrider but from what I can see, most are probably issues with plugs, coils, leads, carb diaphragms etc. Wedgetail seems to get the blame for them all.
So other than any problems out of the box, which would have been replaced anyway, has there been any catastrophic failures with these? A misfire or hesitation on acceleration I can live with so long as it'll get me home. But total failures?
