Woke up early yesterday and with the forecast looking good for the day, decided to clear off for a 340 mile jaunt on the bike with the Mrs.

First leg was an 80 mile ride to Londonderry for breakfast. Below is a view from the Glenshane Pass at 8.30am - gotta love how these mornings are getting brighter sooner and the evenings slowly but surely starting to stretch out.

After breakfast we headed for Letterkenny, up the N56 then turned onto one of my favourite roads, the R251 past Glenveagh National Park, Errigal Mountain and The Roofless Church of Dunlewy.

Photo below is the view over towards Errigal Mountain on the far left (summit covered in cloud as usual).

Next is the view from the R251 down towards The Roofless Church of Dunlwey with Lough Nacung visible to the right.

My wife struggling get her gloves back on at the same spot.

Next up we did Glengesh Pass outside Ardara. White it's certainly not the Alps there where some steep hairpins to negotiate and the view, despite it clouding over a tad, was quite nice.

Then we headed for The Cliffs of Slieve League, a popular viewing point but again, the ride up to it and the ever changing views are stunning.

After this we headed though Donegal to Pettigoe and into Kesh where we stopped at The Lough Erne Hotel for tea then for home through Irvinestown, Dromore, Fintona into Ballygawley and onto the motorway.

Good ride out and nice to start getting the backsides battle hardened again.
