Left Coupar Angus at 10am .
Temp was initially 12C but got as low as 8 and as high as 13 later.
I went out by Blairgowrie then up GlenShee road to get the moor road to Moulin then onto Pitlochry. :thumb2

As I expected roads were a mix of damp / dirty as well as some very clean sections. There was the odd step away moment, but in the main good driving conditions.

Racked up 6000 miles since start of May.

Down north side of Loch Tummel until a wee diversion.

Then on by Kinloch Rannoch and the loch side road, was c20 miles of this, on each side.

To the railway station then back up the South side of Loch Rannoch.

By the way the tearoom is now closed from end of Oct. I could have done with a hot drink. :fiddle

Then popped up to one of the old dams.

That section from Kinloch Rannoch to the railway station and back is a round trip of c50 miles. Road was virtually free, only the odd car. Enjoyed it immensely. :bounce1

Then up around Schielhallion, do enjoy this lumpy, bendy road. Bit of care was required as some of the tree sections were awash with needles.
Decided at this point call it a day and headed for Aberfeldy, then over the moor to Dunkeld lets just say “made good progress” on this section. :thumby:
Traction control light made an appearance a few times.

Thereafter nice link of roads I do between Blairgowrie / Kirriemuir / Forfar / Brechin / and back home for 14:00.
Had about an hour of stoppage time (fuel / photos / etc) so say 4hrs actual running time
Round trip 200 miles, cracker of a day, bike looks like shit, so that is Sunday morning taken care of.

Nice wee trip...on a lush looking bike.

great day out, we must organise a whole day ride out for the spring
we have such an amazing country to explore but i for one never seem to do it
must do it next year.

Good day out. Loch Rannoch is a nice wee round trip - helped if the café is open

Nice walk is to get the train from Rannoch Station to Corrour and walk back, good path, about 12 miles as far as I remember (or walk from Rannoch Station to Ben Alder cottage, even better)
