Wee video , worth a peek

Hmm
Few Comments on that Video:-

I really hope they are not getting paid for that Video.
"feels like the BMW has 125 hp right across the rev range" Seriously go look at a dyne sheet, it really does not.
The KTM looked like the BMW was going backwards lol on the roll on

Quite surprised how much lighter the KTM is, and cheaper, but tbh I thought the BMW was a lot lighter than those specs? or was it the Adventure they were testing?

Still I could not have a KTM too tall for me, and ugly

I assumed he meant 'torque' (since power is dependent upon revs)

Lots of forced laughter in it - I stopped after around 5mins

I agree I am sure he meant torque too, but still not exactly a flat line is it.

KTM for ugly feckers and the GS for us pretty boys :D

Oh, and the build quality of the BMW is better which will feck a few off on here like Arsey :beerjug:

Its funny really, when you look at all the bikes in the GS sector none are perfect, all lack some way by so much, if the BM had more power (even after HT) it would be so close to being perfect compared to the others, where as the others who do have much more power seem lacking in general for overall ease of touring, like no shaft drive etc. or too TALL for me, well load of little reasons

The GS is a better 2-up road bike, end of

Indeed, but it's all relative, the KTM is still a good two up bike and in my case, FWIW, Amanda now prefers it to my old 1200GS.

Anyway, I don't ride a bike 'cos it's good two up (although it's a consideration), if I did I'd buy a boring tourer like an RT or similar. I ride a bike for the handling, the engine, the sheer buzz it gives me every time I ride it and that indefinable thing called character ~ the GS doesn't even get a look in when it comes to that.

Oh, and build quality................... :jes ............... The KTM wins hands down. Mine is not a garage queen, gets cleaned twice, maybe three times a year, no ACF bollox either and is now entering it's fourth winter with the only rust evident anywhere being slight surface rust on parts of the rear disc that polish off. Then of course there's the high quality WP manual suspension fitted as standard etc etc...............

GS's are great bikes but please don't try and compare them to KTM. They're not in the same league.
