Weekend dash to highlands!

It's all good! Shit, showered & shaved.

Drenched 6 times in 36 hours, two of them been immense down pours. The sea-fog coming back towards wick was interesting on the lovely windy coastal road. Used 6 tanks of fuel approximately overall.

Got some great video footage & someone stole the sign (before you say it yes I read you pay for the privilege)

There's no point scoring but I did over 1,200+miles.

Ironically, you drove straight past my house if you went back on the A99, i'd have waved at you from my bedroom window if I'd known you were setting off so early.....

It's my thing, although I only managed to get 20 meters from the hotel, across the road & collapse into my bivy. Found that the building over the road, was not secure so I could change from my wet clothes into dry for the journey back. That made me happy to be briefly out of the rain & ready for recovering my route home.

Woke @5am to the sound of two male cats growling over what seemed ages. Around 5:30 I realized it was a 'garden airer' turning in the wind, making two distinct gnawing sounds. My imagination.. (I was like "these cats in scotland are hard as fk, neither is backing down!!"..hehe)

I felt like getting my chain lube, guerrilla stylie

Nar I enjoy a good storm on me bike, seeing the weather change through a number of conditions is ace (I'm weird; I don't need that reconfirmed).

It would be boring seeing such visa's with pure sun, interesting conditions keep the mind active. Cheers for response's people]
