Weird firefox problem

Did an update for Firefox on my company laptop.

now when i start firefox - i get a blank page, can't click the menu titles - but the window opens,shuts and minimises.

no worries, thinks I - i'll uninstall it and re- install.

exactly the bloody same.

whats going on, peeps ?

I'd say one of the extensions is not working. Close FF, go to the START program menu, find the Mozilla Firefox entry, and select FireFox (Safe Mode).

That'll load FF without extensions. If that works, start de-installing the extensions, restarting FF until you find which extension is killing your software.

Me Firefox problem too. On post replies it won`t let me add links. I hit link button, enter text to be diplayed hit OK and the window closes without opening the insert link window and then nothing is added to new reply text? Weird

Are you using 1.5? This was discussed the other day. Hit Return instead of clicking OK and it works fine.

Are you running Google Web Accelerator ?? If so, disable for this site.

No I`m not running a Google Web Accelerator
It`s just the base install with no addons. Prolly got a couple of internet plugins though like graphics bits n bobs?

I've had a few problems like this, and just persisted with the ENTER. Had to do this 4 or 5 times before it took. Probably is an extension, but can't be bothered to find out which one.
