Weird sounds R1150GS Adv

Hi,
I have just bought a new R1150GS Adv (2004) model. I've clocked up 6000K on it ion the lost 2 months. The problem is that after the 1000K service I started to hear a cyclical rubbing sound above 90-100kph. It sounds as if something is rubbing against something else . I've checked the wheel at standstill and nothing seems to connect withanything else. Another thing is that occasionally, when I press the starter motor button, I hear just a click sound. 5 minutes later, when I try again, the engine starts!
Any help with these probs?

Cyclical rubbing: no idea

Starting problem: sounds like a poor earth in the circuit. Check battery connections, engine straps etc

The rubbing sound.
What engine rpm does that relate to and does the same noise occur in other gears at the same rpm.Trying to isolate whether is is road speed or engine speed related.Has the front wheel been removed by any chance?.
Thinking of speedo drive.
Starting problem.
As above,check connections.Also,is the clicking sound coming from under the seat or by your left footrest?.(where the starter motor is).
When you press the start button,it picks a small relay under the seat in the fuse box,which picks the starter solenoid mounted on the starter motor.

Is the "rubbing" sound in 4th gear only ? It appears most (all?) do this, its been discussed in previous threads, many people notice it.

No, it happens at speed, not gear dependent.
