The footrests on my RT... They're not in the same place and you don't notice! Haven't registered this on previous airheads and another bit of "character"... Weird Germans...

even more noticeable on an RS airhead. One knee is closer to the fairing, so close it started to wear out the jeans.

Mate had one for years and never noticed.
When it came up in conversation he went over to his bike and declared "OH YEA"

I realised a few days into owning mine when scooting backwards and kept smashing my shin on only one of the cylinders!

I soon learned to stop doing that, cos it started to hurt lol

Cylinder bit is obviously but matching the footrests is just so Germanic... Foot warming will be even i suppose...

I must have owned my R60/6 for several weeks before I noticed that. I suppose it's it's a testament to how well designed these bikes are, ergonomically.

After many years of airheads and oilheads, I never learned how to avoid mashing the cylinders into my shins.

Gave up and bought a Guzzi… now its my knees
