OK, things were going so well…too well in fact 🤨 .

Fitting the above to my 1300 GSA bike all stripped, WW modules all fitted, Denali B6 fitted to number plate and cable fitted neatly and up into bike 👍

Then….total deflation… the plug on the end of the Denali in not compatible with the brake light connection cable on the Weiser unit 🤔. I was expecting a simple plug together connection.

Can anyone that has fitted the units or experienced this situation please shed some light as to how to rectify it ?

Photos attached for information purposes.

Thanks in advance.

Contact Weiser straight away on their website. Mark will probably ring you back and sort it out. I fitted the modules and a B6 supplied by Weiser to my 2024 R1300GS and the plugs were straight fit compatible.

Thank you . I have sent them the info now.

👍

Well gentlemen, you were all correct. Firstly, Mark did contact me at 2145hrs, first thing he did was apologise, why I don’t know because I was the one reaching out to him for help.

The product is great, surpassed only by the customer service and support from Mark and his team.

I missed a small ‘patch’ cable that was in the bottom of the box. That connected the Denali B6 to the Weiser Wizard . All working great now.

Thank you all for your assistance via this great site.

Finally, thanks once again to Mark at Weiser Technik.

Had the rear indicator and brake set on my 1250GS

Now have the rear indicators and Denali B6 set from Weiser

Both brilliant pieces of kit, especially the difference on the 1300

I too have the we and brake light kit after reading of them on here.
Easy to fit and there is a detailed video on the we site that i followed.
Great to see good service from a good British company.
Glad the op managed to get it sorted ( after a numpty mistake!)…. RTFM as they say

Bumping this thread with a couple of questions:

1. To install the Denali B6, do I really have to remove the pannier rails in order to release the bike tail and get access to feed a wire?

2. I tested the Weiser Wizards (rear) from my R1250GS on the R1300GS. They worked fine, so, as I already have an Ez-can, I can't see any reason to buy the new v5 wizards. Am I missing anything?

1/ I released the number plate mount screws and fed it up through there without much bother.
2/ That’s a question for Mark at Weiser.
I've sent an email to Mark.

On the second question, can you expand on it at all? Did you need to remove anything other than the number plate and number plate mount?

Watching a guy on youtube, he removes the entire tail section, having already removed the pannier rails. That seems like overkill.

I removed the rhs ( from rear direction ) unbolted lhs but rested it on pillion footrest. You need to remove all rack bolts to remove cover tray . As previously mentioned, once rear radar cover is removed, it’s easy to thread connector wire up into rear tool storage compartment and onto connection point in loom.

Mark was brilliant in replying to me.

Good luck 👍

As I recall, I removed the number plate and then the three screws that hold the number plate mount in place and it was just a case of carefully feeding the B6 wire up and through to underneath the rear seat. There might have been a few more screws that dropped the number plate assembly but it was very simple. Mine doesn’t have the radar thing, so that may make a difference. I can’t take a look to remind me as my bike is with the insurance assessors following a prang.

Thanks. I also don’t have the rear radar, so I’ll definitely give that a try before removing any more parts.

I just fitted this to my 1250GSA, routed the wire into the seat compartment but the bit between the light and where it goes into the compartment, I have just taped it onto the bike. Not the best but I was in a bit of a rush then - need to find a better way to route it.

I removed the pannier carriers
and swivelled the carriers clear
I have the rear radar
I also have the BMW alarm which makes getting the cabling through a bit more difficult as its right at rear of the underseat covering the hole
The alarm just clicks off its mount
Maybe without the alarm being there you could possibly feed the cable through
It was easy enough, just a bit fiddly getting the rear undercover piece properly clicked back in

^^^ Neat job.

Happy to report that, without rear radar, it is only necessary to remove the number plate and the plate carrier (3 screws). Doing that gives sufficient access space to get the light wire into the under-seat area without too much faffing about. After that, it's a piece of cake, and, in my opinion, in combination with the Weiser wizards, an improvement to the safety and visibility of the bike.

WT’s new above number plate Denali bracket fitted today. Very pleased with it.
