What a brilliant point. :clap And lets face it, the "troubles" in Ireland caused far more than 270 deaths. Hell, a lot of Americans were even happy to fund those "convicted terrorists".

Aye, the Elmers were all for supporting the 'Struggle' back in the other 'Old Country', bankrolling paramilitaries.
It was only when people involved in other 'Struggles' (which is what Jiihad actually means, ironically) began to target the good 'ole USA that they realised that, probably, terrorists were a Bad Thing after all....

if he was no longer a danger to society and only 3 months to live, why not ?

what would there to be gained by letting him die in prison, the only real reason to keep him in jail would be to keep him safe from vigilanties, otherwise the cost of protection for him in the commuity would be excessive.

I would like to believe that all people of all nationalities are compassionate and forgiving and that someone with a terminal illness should be shown some of both. Lets not forget, however,that many people died in Lockerbie.......
Perhaps whoever decides,God or Allah or Whoever has found the man guilty and dished out a sentence of his own.
I'm also a pragmatist so I'd be wondering whether Scotland are playing Libya in the World Cup. Keep:)
