Well done,Scotland

Hmmm....

Thinking about it, now would be a very good time to go to Libya with a couple of Scottish stickurs on the bike.

I get the impression that you would be very, very welcome.:thumb2

Probably exactly what this is all about - it's so Ewan & Charly can ride through Libya on their next adventure :D

Setting aside the rights & wrongs of what happened
and from purely an adventure motorcycling point of view
and considering Algeria is looking dodgy
Libya wouldn't be a bad bet for a trip.

Believe its 'dry' though........Ouch !

Next, They'll prove that he was wrongly convicted in the first place . . .

(Which may well be true :blast).

Bob.

Lockerbie was in retaliation for the 1988 downing of an Iranian Airbus, Flight 655, from Bandar Abbas. 655 was shot down by a guided missile from USS Vincennes. The US stated that they mistook the flight for an Iranian fighter.
The United States paid compensation of $61.8 million to the families of those killed on IR 655.
In its turn, Libya handed Magrahie over and paid Billions in reparations.

We are talking about a cold war (not so cold at times) between the US (and its allies) and Iran (and its allies).

What does the individual matter ?

Was he not just a soldier carrying out his masters will ?
Not saying he is blameless - "I was just carrying out orders" has not been a viable defence since Nuremburg, i'm just saying that by concentrating on the individuals involved we are being (successfuly) misdirected from the real story once again.
