One thing after another it seems.
I've lost my auxiliary lights AND high beam. The PO told me an 'electrician mate' of his had wired the auxiliary lights into the low beam circuit. This figures because they come on with the ignition. I'm a little concerned that the high beam has also decided to shuffle off into the gloom.
Before I get the multimeter out, can anyone suggest anywhere in particular I should be looking? :nenau
Looking at the wiring diagram it looks like the logical start point would be the hi/Lo switch and see where it goes from there.
I rather think I'm going to be doing some rewiring, assuming I can find the fault. In fact I'm going to anyway, I much prefer the Aux lights being switched independently.
I bloody hate sorting out other peoples work. 😒

Shoot me down for suggesting….bulb?

Year of bike ? Early 1150 models up to 2003 (ish) had an on/off light switch

trace the power into the switch, hopefully back out and then onto the bulb holder .. I'm no electrician but can do basic lectrics n follow wiring diagrams...

Oh and disconnect the aux lights 1st to avoid confusion...

lose the multimeter , and use a circuit tester or a power probe. start at the headlight and work back via each connection .
or start at the battery and work forward through the system .
1st way , you go no power , til you hit power .
2nd way , you chase the power ...til it stops.

Your wish was my command. :ROFLMAO: Turns out the guy who wired in the aux lights fitted a very poorly inline mini blade fuse and managed to hide it in the loom under the tank! Bloody obvious wasn't it?
Fuse relocated to a more accessible and visually obvious place until such time I get some wire and move it back to the fusebox.
Still chasing the main beam though.:unsure:
