Morning mateys,

Hello to all

Just finished a cracking wkd on my new P+J a 1200GS 300 miles of pure entertainment.

Chopped in my 02 Fireplace on Friday after 2 years on it ( previously 5 other various Hondas ) and have more confidence and comfort in 2 days than in the previous 2 years.

This machine eats the roads my previous bike tied itself in knots over, the handling is absolutley superb the grip and comfort on our standard level of road surface ( B roads ) is fantastic.

Can't wait to open her up roll on the rev's :)

Cheers

One very happy Newbie

i feel the same

i too changed a week ago and also find the gs much sweeter like you say super confident within a few days and just a great ride
and ive only got a 99 1150
it has lived up to all my expectations and more
keep on enjoying

Had my 1100GS about 5 weeks now (although I'm holding onto my Thudercat for a bit yet). Have to agree with the confidence thing, despite the size & weight this GS is just so damn easy to ride. I can jump from the 'Cat to the GS without thinking, but everytime I get back on the 'Cat I have to re-learn how to ride it!

I rode out with a mate on an '05 R1 the other day. It was great to see how his impression of the bike changed from before the ride (a kind of polite, acknowledgement), to afterward when he was raving about how well it can "hustle" and was trying to blag a go. He really struggled with his bike on the back roads we were on, mind you he was soon past me on the straights!

Just need to sort some better wind protection and I'll be well chuffed!

ive only got a 99 1150

Only? what do you mean only? You spoilt brat! What's up? you feel that unless you've got those extra 50cc you're not a real GS(er). Or a real man?

dear dear sean are we not tetchy
i was just making the point that the 12 is apparently 30 kgs lighter and more powerful which to my mind can only make it even better. and as for the spoilt brat bit sorry ive waited 5 effing years to be able to afford one
so lets just get on and enjoy

 See those smilies over to the left of the screen when you post?

Use them to let others know you're being sarcastic or tongue in cheek or whatever gents and then you won't have any handbags thrown at you ;) .....if there's not a smilie it implies that you were dead serious in what you were posting.

Can't wait to open her up roll on the rev's
Phil....don't wait, just open her up.

Try doing a search on 'running in' using the button at the top of the page and you'll see why......
;)

Hi Cral

I met you at the Cat & Fiddle a couple of weeks ago. Glad you've found the site and are enjoying the bike.

Phil...the real joy is when you go back out with your mates on their 600RR's and Blades....they always think they can get away:D

That's a point Fanum. Forgot that people can't see the expresion on my face or the inflection in my voice. Always been advised to stay away from things with smiley faces on. Apparantly everything becomes beuatifully wonderful.;)
Point taken.
Now go cut your nails cral.
