After reading much of the advice on this forum I made the plunge and have just purchased a 2010 R1200GS from BMW Park Lane

I think I got quite a good deal;

only 1700 miles
alarm
engine bars
heated grips
ABS and ASC

All for under £10K - picking it up on Monday

.... and got to say I thought the staff in their were excellent (I read on the forum that others have not been so impressed). Also went for the no-demo option! It won't be like my R1 so no point in comparing and it has to be better than my XT 660....
