Today i px'ed my 2005 1200GS for a new 08 in Slate Grey Matt with all the techno bits.
My bike has been perfect, a lot of fun, made it into a supermoto two years ago with 17" wheels and a lot of extras. 17000 fun/trouble free miles.
Rode the new one and felt the engine definately revs more freely, the brakes have more feel, and the electronic suspension is great, soft for cruising, sport for attacking the twisties. The gearbox on mine was always good, so can't say the new one was so different to mine (but compared to my friends 05 GS, it's way better).
Personally, I like the new styling, I think it looks more modern/contemporary. Better looking bars & top yoke aswell.
Hope it is as trouble free as my 05 bike.
Hope to collect it mid. March. Will do 10 days in France in July, Route de Grand Alpes & Route Napoleon and some other fun roads.
My friend px'ed his 05 GS for a new Adventue, at the same time.
Vines were great to deal with as usual.

Enjoy!

(I'm tyring to convince myself not to trade my 05 bike in for a new model. posts like your aren't helping, you know...)

I picked up mine last week. Also got a Slate Gray with all the techno bits. :beerjug:

I've owned six BMWs. This gearbox is the best by far.:thumb

I did not like the styling in pictures but in person it is pretty good . . . especially in Slate Gray. I added a tinted windscreen yesterday. The bike looks very stealthy now.
